Drawing Sketching and Toning

The Gioconda Art Set from Koh-I-Noor is familiar to me like no other sketch- and toning kit is. This set was mandatory and required when studying art during my high school years. It’s been a while since I’ve used it, but recently stumbling upon it when sorting out my art supplies, I got inspired. Since I’m exploring the digital art world, why not bring some classical art styles with me?
I decided to make a digital version of this art set. Hopefully, I’ve managed to let digital and analog art meet each other halfway.

How to use this set

There are 18 brushes I carefully created, trying to imitate the effect of the real pencils and pastels of the art set. I also took the time to make colour pallets that match certain brushes. Bellow is a summary of the colour pallets, their colours and which brush they belong to.
This is just a guide to use the brushes so they match their real counterparts. But you are of curse free to explore and experiment however you want.

I’ve also added two canvasses. Make sure to draw on the assigned layers. You can always add more layers, just make sure you add them under the Texture layer.

Procreate is required in order to use the brushes. It is only available for iPad and iPhone and works best with the Apple Pencil, but any pencil works.
Download the file. To import it, go to your brush library, click the + button and choose import. Go to the folder where you saved the brushes and select the file. Licenses are meant for creating your own art with the brushes. It is not permitted to resell the brushes as your own.

A commercial license is required if the end product is meant for selling. The commercial license is not needed if the brushes are used for commissions and for non-profits organisations. If your product isn't selling yet, you can always upgrade to a commercial license in the future.
